Absolutely. Many families choose our self-pay option for the flexibility and personal connection it provides.
Self-pay means you pay for your visit at the time of service—no waiting for insurance approvals or worrying about surprise bills later. This allows us to focus fully on you and your baby, rather than the limitations of an insurance plan.
We’ll provide a superbill (an itemized receipt with all the necessary codes) so you can easily submit it to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many families receive partial or full reimbursement, depending on their plan.
We accept cash, check, credit card, and HSA/FSA funds.
If cost feels like a stretch right now, please reach out. We never want finances to be the reason a mom goes without the care and support she needs, you have options, and we’re happy to talk them through together.
A Superbill is a detailed receipt that includes everything your insurance company needs to review your visit for possible reimbursement. Instead of working directly with insurance companies, we choose to stay focused on you—your comfort, your feeding journey, and what’s best for your family in each moment.
If you’d like to seek reimbursement, we’re happy to provide a superbill after your appointment. It will include:
• the services you received
• the amount you paid
• the medical and billing codes required by insurance
You can submit this document to your insurance provider to see whether your plan offers out-of-network reimbursement for lactation care.
At LCE, our priority is personalized, whole-body support while still giving you the tools you need to explore coverage if you choose.
